Presenilin (PS) provides the catalytic core of the γ-secretase complex. γ-Secretase activity
leads to generation of the amyloid β-peptide, a key event implicated in the pathogenesis of
Alzheimer disease. PS has ten hydrophobic regions, which can all theoretically form
